About Me. Meet the Owner, the Heart Behind Amor Mederi.

Hi, my name is Kim, I’m the founder of Amor Mederi, a small herbal remedy business rooted in deep healing, both physical and spiritual.

I was born into a world that didn’t know what to do with a body like mine, I was labeled disabled, broken, something that must be fixed.

From my earliest days, the medical system saw me not as a child, but as a case to study. I became a subject in early experimental hip replacement surgeries—performed by one of the men who was involved in inventing them. I didn’t consent. I didn’t have a choice. My childhood was shaped by cold hospital rooms, countless surgeries, and a system that treated my pain as a problem to be solved, not a story to be heard.

But even then, something fierce lived in me. I survived what should have broken me—physically, emotionally, spiritually. And in time, I turned away from the institutions that fractured me and turned toward something older, gentler, and wiser: the natural world.

In plants, I found medicine that didn’t demand my pain as payment.

Qualified in 1992, I’ve spent over three decades working with herbs—learning their language, their spirit, and their ability to support real, lasting healing.

I fell in love with the plants—their wisdom, their spirit, their ability to support us in the most gentle yet profound ways. Amor Mederi was born from that love. Every remedy I make is part of a larger calling: to bring care, connection, and empowerment to others who are looking for a different way to heal.

I am not against modern medicine. It can be precise, powerful, and often life saving. Which is a very good thing. I believe in a future where natural and modern medicine work together - not in competition, but in harmony. Where no one has to choose between intuition and science, tradition and innovation.

Herbalism became the path I walked to reclaim my body, my voice, and my sovereignty. I discovered healing not as something done to me, but something awakened within me. That journey gave birth to Amor Mederi—“the love of healing.”

Every tincture I craft is a prayer of sovereignty.

It’s a reclamation.

I am not here despite what was done to me. I am here because of what was done to me. Which is why I now see it as one of the greatest gifts that I could have ever been given.
